Angry GRR!! annoying noises

hey guys Ive been around the forum for a while now sort of being a ghost haha.

well i have a bit of an annoying problem with my G, every time i go over a patch of road that is not smooth i hear like a rattle coming from the RR wheel area, i took the wheel off tightened the break shield and pretty much everything i could think of, went to the dealer they tightened some things (or so they say) washed the car and gave it back to me.... nothing was fixed. i was wondering if anyone has had this annoyance before and what they did about it it sounds kinda like plastic on metal or something i cant really figure it out.

thanks - Z

do you have shims on your rear pads? missing shims can cause play that will allow the caliper to wiggle and rattle.

rear end links could also be at fault, but that will usually cause more of a clunking/dull knocking.

your e-brake may also need adjusting.

Noise from rear of car

My 04 G35 had a similar problem this past week and found rear sway bar bushings to be the problem. Replaced the bushings and noise went away.

pwebb i freaking love you... it ended up just being the E brake needing adjustment, and the dealer couldn't figure it out. i just adjusted the E-brake it's 2:30am in VT and I'm pretty sure my neighbors hate me for turning my car on test driving it, coming back, adjusting, and doing it over, and over haha.

i think i have this same problem. i got new rotors and pads a little while ago and i think this started right after. I have to pull the e-brake WAY up now for it to engage.
Question is: How do I adjust the e-brake?!?!?
