Im deciding on wether to buy a complete K&N typhoon kit which is expensive as H*LL, or buy just the k&n filter and pu ton on the stock air tube without the induction box around it!! someone anyone please help me and give me some insight on what is better. Ive seen a lot of people put the k&n filter on the stock air tubing.. Is that ok to do, It will save me about $200...

 

General concensus is if you want noise and looks (and many will say worse performance) get an intake kit. Otherwise get a Z-Tube, 06 RU air box and K&N and call it a day.
