Blown headlight

I hope someone here can give me some advice. My drivers side headlight is out on my 04 coupe. Is there a way to tell if it is just the bulb or the bulb and the ballast? Before the bulb went completely out it was a dull yellow. Is there a way to change the bulb without having to remove the bumper? Is there a big difference between the factory bulbs, 5000k and 6000k bulbs? I'm looking for the k level that gives off the most light down the road.

I have read that the HID bulbs in our cars are warranted for life by Infiniti. You may want to call your local dealer to see.

The factory bulbs will give off the most light down the road.

If your looking to change ur stock HIB bulb I highly suggest to go up to 6000k. It's the same color when you open ur HID, but never fades. It's whith and bright. I changed mine couple of years ago and loving it! it's about $70 to $80 on ebay ( bulbs only) but if you dont want to spend some money, do the warranty thing. good luck!

stock is 4300k. this has the most lumens (light output) and is the reason why all OEMs use this color temperature.
