Opinions/Questions for you guys or girls

So i drive a 06 gt eclipse 6 speed, i am looking at purchasing a 06 g35. In the process i would loose about 3-4k

Do you guys feel like its worth the trade or should i hold onto the eclipse because in another year and a half ill have the money for a SS camaro new and just go that route.

i hope this is where i can post this Mods please move if incorrect.

With any luck the Eclipse will last until you have the $ for the Camaro. Normally when I see one of the new Camaro's I'm impressed, yesterday however I saw one in bright yellow and thought it was "Fugly!" I would never buy a yellow car since there's too many great colors available but this yellow was terrible/awful.... kinda like this face!

You're looking at 2 pretty different cars. I would get the G, then with the saved money you'll have next year, boost it. Of course, that's just my .02 cents.

Well, thats my problem I mean i enjoy my eclipse its pretty quick it has a 3.8 liter in it. the only huge downfall is that its FWD. Ive always loved the G35's but i took one for a test drive and stock vs stock their are about the same performance wise, atleast to me

Which leaves me with the camaro which is growing on me daily

have you test driven the camaro yet?

which one are you going to get? i don't think you'd be happy with the V6 if you're happy with the V6 in the eclipse.

Eclipse and G are different leagues. They might be similar in performance, but that's where the similarities end. G is more refined and you can't beat RWD. I say get the G unless you're looking at the Camaro SS. You'd be disappointed with the 6 cyl. I think.

A new GM model over a G? No brainer NO WAY. Generally takes a few years for most domestics to work out any bugs on new models, G35 proven excellent reliability record. How many domestics can you even put in that category??? I would really wait a few years to see how the Camaros are. I too and am in love with the styling. But no brainer for me...........

it would be the SS, the v6 model is slower then my eclipse so thats out of the question.

I think if i lower the eclipse i wont hate it considering my wheel gap looks like a truck then maybe ill keep it until the camaro.

He's buying one over a year from now so he'll have a second year model, they'll have all the bugs out by then. And besides they're made in Canada, not "Down Under" like those poor GTO's. Canada's where GM built the previous Camaros and Trans Am's. (Firebirds)

The SS is HUGELY faster and much easier to mod. There's a LOT more stuff for the LSx engine. 550-600 rwhp is had for intake/exhaust/tune. And it will still get better mileage. I get 32 out of my "old" Z06. Those LS engines are a work of engineering.
Now, I do have to agree though, the G is far more refined and an incredible car to drive. But if you're a "go fast" kinda person, you won't beat the SS in "bang for your buck"

Also, if you don't NEED the back seat, used corvettes have dropped a lot and can be had for low to mid 20's.

Eclipses are for chicks that think they're hotter than they really are. Ditch the chick mobile and pick up a chick magnet. ASAP. Or else everyone will see your car and assume its driven by some fug broad wearing uggs and making a run to starbucks.

I love my Gcoupe, but I would rather have the SS if I had the money. Or you could buy the G and get you a GenI Camaro to restore when you save the money. Even better!

Seems to be a no brainer. There is a huge price difference though. You are looking at almost 20k more.
