Turbo Kit?
I just bought an 03 G35 with 63xxx miles. I want to put a turbo kit on the car and would like to know if there are any red flags with this. My dad seems to think it will destroy the engine? Any inout would be great!
From what I do know, and anyone correct me if im wrong. There have been many cases in which people tune too much boost to there stock engine and fry it. I believe you will have to change injectors, and if you want to stay safe, go with a reputable twin turbo setup and stay under 10lbs. But it is doable. I plan on a single Turbonetics system next year. Just my 2 cents.

I would say search, but it is counter intuitive because I am already posting.
A properly tuned turbo engine is 100% as reliable as N\A. It will however increase the load on your transmission, axle, drive line, engine internals (depending on the boost) and, will require additional maintenance. Since you asked such a question I advice you not go turbo just yet.

#1. Poke around in the FI section.
#2. Read lots of posts.
#3. Save up lots of money.
Ask around and find someone who really knows their stuff if you do end up doing it, on the stock block you can push around 400 whp safely, but its all in the tune.
