I need to replace the left low-beam bulb, but I can't figure out what the name/number/etc is for the bulb. Also, is it HID or halogen? I know this may seem totally noob or a total chick thing, but I don't have a clue. I searched all over online, and even looked in the owners handbook, but I still can't find what to replace it with. Maybe someone will have an idea I'm hoping?

My car is an 03 6MT coupe with the sport package. Everything is stock...so anyone have any ideas? Please?

(Yeah, I could take it to the dealer and have it done, but I'm a poor nursing school student and don't want to drop that kind of money if I don't have to!)

If they are HID, then it is a HID-D2R. If it is a halogen, the its an H1. Take a picture of your headlights and post it. I am sure some one on here will know for sure.

 

Okay, it appears that I need the HID-D2R bulb...the local ABC autopart store is quoting me $124 for this...anyone know where I can get this a little cheaper?

 

Check the "accessories" in the marketplace section. I know a few sell the bulbs. Just make sure if you get one bulb that its the same color as the original.

 

uh...okay...how do I know what color the original is? What color do they come standard with? Sorry...new to this "having to maintain my car myself" thing!
