How do you prevent order screw ups ??

I want to avoid getting an 'opportunity' to take the G I didn't order i.e. Ggirl's current circumstance. Any suggestions to ensure your specifications are submitted correctly and delivered on ?? ...dean

Get a print out from the dealership of the order they placed for you. Better yet, when you give them your deposit, have them do it right then and give you the printout with confirmation number. Basically put it in writing.

Thanks Merlin. And when the VIN is available, is there some way to verify it matches your spec's. ?? ...dean

Decode Infiniti VIN

It'll tell you what model/body-style/engine, when & where built, and the type of restraint system (air bags, etc.), but nothing about particular options and colors. I imagine Infiniti has a database of the 6-digit serial numbers and what options they rolled out of the plant with, but I don't know how to find that.
