Need some quick advice -- Just looked at a 03 G

When he pulled up and came to a stop, we engaged in a quick conversation and I began to look over the car. After about 7 min I noticed that a puddle was quickly building behind the front, passenger side wheel, which began to leak beyond the wheel into the street. When I asked about it, he said it was because his AC was on, and that it was normal. (If I recall correctly, the car was on the entire time.)

Is this normal? It was a very rapid, puddle making leak. Not just a few drops here and there.

When I test drove the car, the AC blew cold. I turned it off, returned the car, and parked it in a different location and it no longer leaked.

Could this be valve/hose/gasket problem, rather than a rapid condensation? I can't afford to fix an AC problem @ $1500 if I buy the car.

I rarely run my A/C and even if I do i never run more than 1-2 bars. I have never noticed much of a drip in mine but I am also in a 2007. Most cars do drip fairly quickly though when you are blowing ice cold air at a high blast
