Way off topic... but true

I am not pointing any fingers here - just an observation that gets under my skin a bit... maybe I'm just tired and cranky... who knows?

Imagine if you will, that you come across a thread where someone asks a question - any question, it doesn't matter what the question is. Several people will give very good answers, others somehow misunderstood the original question so they answered a different question altogether - sound familiar? Then some GENIUS comes through with a beautifully worded answer... that happens to be D@MN near identical to something someone else had already said 5 posts ago.

Do these people:

a.)just want to take the credit for someone else's idea
b.)actually believe they were the brilliant one who divined the answer
c.)just read the original post and skip right to the end?

There are a lot of really knowledgeable and helpful people on here and I am very grateful for everything I have learned because of them. So thanks to all of you helpful people, but to you plagiarists I say leave the thinking to those who are capable. Am I wrong here?

all 3 of those are true.

truthfully its a race . whoever answers first gets the credit. once someone gets what they are looking for they dont read on o.O
i know sometimes i get updates on my email and just skip straight to answering it.

most of the answers are stupid obvious ones... any novice car owner would know it.

Well some people want to get post count or something. Some people might clarify the answer. I sometimes see people giving answers and I go waad. Then some other guy says the same answer but make it clearer.

All 3 of those are true. Really, it's just to see who gets there first.

It sounds like you're new to public internet forums. You can bitch and complain as much as you want, it may even be logical. But sadly, you're not going to change the way people respond.

2 things...

A) who the **** cares?...
and
B) stop whining about it.

Seriously man, this was a pretty stupid/childish post.

Instead of focusing on how someone is saying the exact same thing as someone else, be glad that they're confirming what the other person who posted had to say.

As I said, not making a personal attack on anyone here Steve, so if your guilty conscience got the better of you, it's not my problem. And if this was stupid/childish and obviously beneath you, why would you feel the need to post? You don't need to further debase yourself by replying on my petty post... if you have a response, go ahead and PM me and we can discuss it.

It's all good when you're giving credit where it is due.
