Water Leak Through Window After Car Wash

Has anyone had this problem? I washed my G35c for the first time yesterday and I noticed that there was some water that leaked through to the inside of the car after I finish washing the car. The leaks were on the driver and passenger side windows.
Anyone else experience this? Is it normal, or something I should definitely get checked out?
Thanks in advance.

Re: Water Leak Through Window After Car Wash

Mine has a slight leak near the speaker at window level, but only when I use a higher pressure water source.

Never had any problems in the rain or with excessive moisture.

I'm thinking you just hit that one little spot where water can get in with pressure. I wouldn't worry about it unless you start seeing water after rains.

Re: Water Leak Through Window After Car Wash

I took mine to the dealer and they said the windows were out of alignment and I haven't washed my car since they fixed it.

This seems to be a normal problem for our cars, but definitely not acceptable so I would take it in.

Thanks!

I actually did see a few water spots inside the window that morning, after the rain that night, so it is possible that some water got through from the rain.
I'll have it checked out. Thanks!

Re: Water Leak Through Window After Car Wash

Wow! I am glad to hear that I am not the only one with this problem, sorry that you happen to have the same problem though =) I took my car in for this a couple of times and they said they replaced the gasket around the door and also added some weather stripping behind the gasket to push up against it a little better in particular areas. Well it helped a little but I think it still leaks a little water. I still haven't given it a good soaking yet. The cool thing is that the dealer was really cooperative with the fix and even had some infiniti reps come out to look at it. Apparently there are infiniti reps who come around for certain things, not necessarily for my car but they were in the area I guess, and they took a swing at my car, whatever they did they finally fixed the rear parcel shelf rattle that the dealer said they fixed but didn't. Although the problem may or may not have been fixed, for once I had a satisfactory dealer experience. Oh and my dealer said they filed a new case number for this particular problem with my car being the first documented case with infiniti. Don't know if this is bull or what but the problem seems to have been fixed for now.

I had the same experience as yours, water will not come in when your doors and windows are closed, but during water stays on the frame,if you open it,it would come in,then you might think it came in when you driving

That happened to me one time but it was because the window didn't do the ol inch up after shutting the door. You know, the window goes up another 1/4" or so to seal when the door closes. The window motors in our Gs are not the best. Having my driver's side one being replaced tomorrow.

Re: Water Leak Through Window After Car Wash

Yeah, for some reason it just collects between the window and weather stripping, and when I pressed on the window slightly to clean it, it started dripping inside. And I was like - "Oh [censored]".
