Seatbelt light

So I took my coupe in to get a seat fixed and I guess they forgot to connect the seatbelt sensor so now the light is stuck on.

Is the seat going to have to come back out just to turn off the light?

Or should I just live with it.

Re: Seatbelt light

Our cars have Dual Stage airbags that "are designed to adjust their rate of deployment, according to the severity of the impact and seat belt usage."

If the car can't tell if your seatbelt is on, it cannot activate the airbags correctly. I would take it back immediately.

Re: Seatbelt light

Thanks, I just talked to the dealer and apparently it's possible to reconnect the sensor without taking the seat out.
