Re: G35 vs crossfire
The G is more of a Nissan then the Crossfire is a Chysler. The Crossfire is based on the SLK Platform and drivetrain. Just new body panels and suspension tuning.

Re: G35 vs crossfire
I drove crossfire before. What I would be comment? It is [censored]. I do not mean it is slow, If someone buys the car with that much money,I probably think he is$%^W@$%. very long clutch, loose shift feel, bad visibility, bad interi, condensation in headlamp,non-hid but four projector, seal problem when I was driving on highway, water came in even the windows closed. cheap value but high price
Re: G35 vs crossfire
It had to have been the SRT-6 model, because no way a regular Crossfire can beat a G35c, regardless of transmission. The SRT-6 has a 3.2L SC V6 w/ 330 hp & 310 lb-ft. Obviously, its got a retuned suspension different from the basic Crossfire.
BTW, from MotorTrend, Aug-04:
"assembled in Germany by Karmann" (a M-B tuning house)
"a slalom time that matches Evos & Ferraris"
0-60, 4.9 s
1/4 mile, 13.3 s (w/ auto!)
60-0 Braking, 111 ft
Slalom, 71.4 mph
Skidpad, 0.89 g
It's expensive ($45 K) but it's still a good $7-$8 K less than the SLK32 AMG from which it sprang.
SRT-6 is 200 lbs lighter than the G35c, so it weighs about the same as the 350Z.
BTW, from Consumer Reports reliability, overall Chrysler is avg, meaning it's not nearly as bad as other domestic brands.
