Ill have to agree with her
Your more likely to have issues wit higher mileage and it being an 03.
G35 are known for common issues.
My old Honda had better reliability but I still love my ride.

Do you think that an 04 with the same mileage (60k-80k) would be better reliability? I've heard that the engine is one of the best and most reliable, but I heard small electrical problems are more likely to occur.

Thanks for the help!

Do this:
-Carfaxx and see if it has a bad history
If it does move on. Theres other G's out there. Dont get stuck with a lemon.
-Take it in to a shop to check for engine issues, body work and paint.
-Ask for records from owner since he claims car was maintained good.

You can always buy extended warranty or just hope that you get lucky.
The newer the car and the less miles the better you are. Simple as that.

If he fixed the curbed wheel I would take it in and make sure it didnt mess up suspension. Ask if he has records for maint. GET VIN and either buy carfax or get someone to do it for you. Thats the last thing you want to be cheap with. The car couldve been crashed 5 times and once you buy it you cant do crap. Its a 03 so I'm sure it will have a history
Also check out that curbed wheel like mentioned before.

Yeah the guy is like "I can't give the VIN it's personal information. One of my boys gave out his VIN and someone made a key and stole his car....we can check the VIN together". I'm over it.
Thank you all so much for your help, hopefully the next car I find that I'm considering I'll run by you all

HAHA wait someone made a key based of off his VIN? His vin is vehicle history. Has nothing to do with the key.
Its so personal that anyone that walks by his car can get it. Idiot. I say red flag!

I KNOW! I didn't even bother to reply back to his text.... I'm just like wow, that is the most pathetic excuse to hide his carfax from me.

Actually for alot of cars you can make a key with the VIN number. I locked my keys in my car one time (Ford, not my G35) and called roadside assistance. When the locksmith pulled up he already had a key made for my car. I was expecting him to break out his tools instead he walked right up to the car, stuck the key in the door and unlocked it. It surprised me, thats for sure. Now the key was just a plain metal key without the transponder. So someone can make a key that will open your door, but for most cars it will not be able to start the vehicle. Now whether that is his real excuse for not giving out the VIN I can't say, but at least it is somewhat plausible.
