Ice Blue Headlight Overlay

OK, it got too dark to take pictures of the car, so all I could do was take a picture of the light output. There were taken about 30 feet out from the wall. Very noticeable blue output on the road in front of me.

Making right turns was quite adventurous. You can tell from the pics how much light is lost at the sides. Now I'll have to see how they look on my car during the daytime to see if being pimp is worth the cost of losing night visibility. I'll take pics tomorrow in the daytime of the overlays on the car.

That actually looks pretty nice but wouldn't you get stopped by a cop pretty quick like that?

maybe if the blue was a little lighter, it wouldn't look that bad.

Re: Ice Blue Headlight Overlay

it doesnt look that bad but YOU will need a lot of exterior mod to back up that headlight,,, like what top secret did to that black g35c with blue headllights..... stock with blue headlights just doesnt look right....

Puff, its your car, if you like it, go for it. I bet the Bergen County police are going to love seeing you coming their way!

I give ya two weeks if that, and they will pull you over..........hope I'm wrong, but I doubt it......how long did it take you to get nailed for the blue LED's in you clearance strip? Good luck....8>)

Re: Ice Blue Headlight Overlay

Well, it was just as I feared. Too blue during the daytime. Was hoping for just a nice accent. Ah well... maybe bat will get something lighter later on. I was too busy today to take some pics, so I'll get them up tomorrow for those are still interested. Might be good for show cars I guess.

Now allow me to reply to all the colorful comments people left. Geez... can't a person take a risk every now and then? :P

Class and afro don't belong in the same sentence together.

Police Issues: No, I don't think I'd have any issues. The lights are still very white to oncoming traffic. You wouldn't be able to tell. The camera automatically color shifts improperly, this has been discussed before when others have tried to take pics of their lights. As for the light thrown on the road infront of me, yes it is a hint bluer. I would say about 6500k. People are running 6000k without any issues. Some people have even put in 8000k. I wouldn't have cop issues with them unless I was being pulled over for something else.

C'mon Suk! It took you this long to figure it out with all the other "mods" I've done? After all, my first post on the g35 forums was asking for Altezza lights.

Agreed.

Well, the Top Secret look was exactly what I was attempting with the headlights... but as for the rest, I'd rather look faster than I actually am. This way, people won't even step to challenge. They would know to stay away.

LOL! Don't worry speed! You can help me rip them off after the meet. But they WILL most definitely be there in full force during the meet!

Took about 8 months. Cop was bored. But I've had them for 16 months and that was the only issue I've ever had. They look too damn hot not to have, especially on CB.

Well, bat also offers them in yellow. Maybe I'll give those a shot next. His prices are well worth taking chances on. Daytime pics tomorrow!!!
