G35 Tire Thread (cost/life/camber/etc)

Browsed all the pages I can find on this, and would just like to make one to help me and others looking to buy their first G and know what to expect.

(If you just replaced your front/rear please state that as well)

What year G do you have?
Do you have an aftermarket camber kit?
How many sets of tires you've gone through since you got your G (when)?
What kind of tires they've been?
How much did they cost (including labor)?
How many miles did you get out of them?
How do you generally drive?

I'm looking to get a G and not quite sure what to be expecting to spend on tires, since I've heard all sorts of different views. I'd just like to see what different people's situations are like. I am a moderate driver, never race people in my BMW but like pushing it slightly, not too often at all(no mine do not have run-flats).

Really appreciate it

Since you currently drive a Beamer and if you buy a G35 the cost of tires should be somewhat the same, both RWD and power available when needed. Quality tires like Michelin should last you 25 to 30K miles and cost could range from $1K to the ones I have on $1800= the PS2s (price is for a set of 4 19")

Yes, but the I've heard so many tire feathering stories about 2003 350z's and G35 coupes, and how they have an "aggressive camber" for better cornering and such.

Thanks for the help though!

Drive a 2K6 6mt. coupe.
No aftermarket camber kit needed on stock wheels, 19's BTW.
Only gone through one set of tires, the stock Blowtenzas, they lasted 22K.
I now have Falken 452's, they're great but, I'm definitely replacing them with Michelin PS2's in about a year.
Falken's are less than $700 for the whole set, about $100+ to have installed.
Michelins are right at $1,300, but are highly recommended by anyone that has used them on M3's, 911's, etc.
Blowtenzas lasted 22K. I would be glad to get 18K out of the Falken's, I'm at 5K and they somehow don't feel very sticky on half the rods out here.
I drive moderately most of the time but, I open it up from time to time.

Coming from a BMW automobile I'd think the cost of tires should be the last thing to worry about. They use very similar tires and maintenance costs are significantlt less expensive. There's a guy that has a fully loaded 335i where I run and let me tell ya, I'm getting one when they come out with the new one in a couple of years.
Hope this helps.

Haha Blowtenza's. Yes, 335's are absolute beasts. Best car I've ever driven (no I don't have one now, just a e46 325i). Only negative side to it is those damn run-flats and the cost to replace them. But hey, the car gets very good mpg for such a quick car, and handles like no other.

Appreciate the help!

If your alignment/balance is "dead nuts" there's no reason to have feathering issues, I never have on any car! Quality tires helps too....

Ah that is a good idea. Like on craigslist and ebay? Is it tough to find ones your size?
