Hey guys I'm new around here so hopefully I'm posting in the right place. Last weekend I hit deer, I was going about 55 mph and of course stupid thing came out darted right in front me and there was little I could do. It actually jumped and smashed my windshield, took out my drivers side mirror, dented the drivers side quarter panel, and busted my roof all up (see pics below). My insurance company is waiting to get an estimate back from the collision shop in South Carolina, they have had the car for week. I've heard several opinions on whether they will total my car or actually fix it. I figured I post here and see what you guys think. Also, is there anything I should be aware of it they do decide to fix it? To make things even worse I've only had the car for a month, it was 2003, but it had been well kept!

if not time for a color change!!!
Yeah I was wondering about that if they decide to fix it, they probably won't be able to match the color perfect because the car has aged. Can I make them paint the whole car? And even then how do you make sure you get a quality paint job and not half a$$ed one?Originally Posted by Dranom

**** man!... you're lucky to be uninjured. It's a good thing he hit the roof with part of his body, and the head didn't hit your windshield directly, or you could have taken an antler to the face.
That deer looks tasty!
