black car, black emblems, iphone pics
I saw the same thing on a Lexus the other day. Black logo and lettering. Looks good on a black car. COnsidering doing mine like that... maybe one of the many winter projects I have planned once the car is parked this fall.
I am actually in the process of blacking out my emblems. I barely did the "G35". I sanded them. And just follow the regular painting procedure. 3 coats of primer, 4 coats of black, 3 coats of clear. That simple.

let's see...
1. black headlights are my next project, and should be done in the next 3 weeks (i have work off for 3 weeks, sweeeet! spend money!!)
2. the black emblems: i just bought a set of stock silver emblems, and took them to the bodyshop when i had my grill painted, and had them paint them too. No sanding, no prepping, just sprayed those suckers with auto paint.
3. I appreciate all the feedback, i must say, these pics don't do the car much justice IMO, but to each his own, obviously. When i finish the headlights, i'll get better photos done, after a detail, and throw some more pics up.
word to your mothers.

hahaah, nice. It's a paint in the *** sanding the fricking letters. I am doing the INFINITI right now. I love the black emblems. I think the Lexus IS350 comes with black emblems. I seen it and I like it.
What do you need to prime for? sand with 600 grit and spray your basecoat (and no not some sh*tty spray paint either, AUTOMOTIVE BC/CC!) and then clear......
