Too many Gs for sale?
Too many Gs for sale?
Is it me or have I noticed that there are more G35s for sales, especailly coupes?
I just recently sold my sedan that I had for one year. The reason why I sold it is b/c I want to get an '05 coupe. I'm just wondering some of the other reasons people are selling their Gs.

Re: Too many Gs for sale?
I just traded my coupe in for a new ride 8/13. I was pretty lucky to get a decent trade-in price (28K for an early '03). I was surprised at losing about 6K in 20 months and less than 10Kmi, but Edmunds valued my car at the price I got for it.
Why did I sell? Well, I loved the coupe, but I just didn't use it. I was forever worrying about door dings, not wanting to drive it in bad weather, etc.

Re: Too many Gs for sale?
I was "IMPATIENT" to wait for an 03 cpe back in Nov 2002...after my TL-S had tranny problems I wanted out...The G35 Sedan w/navi sports pkg was the best choice so I leased it for 40K at 60 mos at $559 +TL - 18 months later and way over the mileage 28K only allowed 12K per year...$0.20 after that I called for the "payoff" and it was $34,000.00 balance due..I said OK before I make another payment...let me work out some numbers to finance the car w/28 K...60mos payment was $700+ TL no money down..I go ok this doesn't make sense...The car will be 7-8 years old by the time i'm done paying it off and i'm sure well over 100,000 miles...So I went to option B - 6mt cpe non-navi sport...got it for $32,950 with an extra $4,000.00 down stretched payment to 84 months to keep it at $616.00...I'm sure I'll pay if off before the 84 months...more likely refinance within the 2nd or 3rd year of payments...
It was funny, I wasn't planning on buying anything...I just got a new latop COMPAQ 4050...no payments for 6 months which I know have to pay for next month...Then I got an IPOD...I said I was done...no more toys...and then the CAR!
WHEW - Ok now that I so called "OWN" my car until it's paid off...I feel sooooo much better...!!! Not having the stock NAVI no biggie..I wanted the BREMBOS, 18's, 6mt, and BUTWARMERS! After-market PIONEER navi / dvd is my next project...
I guess I should've waited for the cpes before I traded in my TL-S...
Now ya know!

Re: Too many Gs for sale?
WOW!! It looks like the coupe ended up costing you a lot more than its purchase price. You know what they say, as long as you are happy, that is all what counts.
I can't wait for the '05s to come out - and in the mean time I'm driving my old '94 corolla that barely runs. Every time I get in the car, I realize how much I missed my old G.

To many coupes for sale? Wow, where are you located??
I'm in LA where we seem to have more cars than anywhere; yet I see few used coupes for sale and the ones that are fetch $31K or more. Great resale value due to being popular and scarce.

Re: Too many Gs for sale?
When I was looking to buy a coupe last May (right before 04's came out), there was a booming 2 for sale in private party (that covers all chicagoland and chicago suburbs), and about half a dozen at dealerships. I think I'm going to sell mine right before snow falls and get a 96 a4 quattro; then get the 05 next spring!
