OMG MY TRANNY!

OMG MY TRANNY IS FINE! Am I the only one out there with "okay" tranny?

man! what's up with all these people saying their tranny went bad? I don't believe it until mine breaks down. Unless someone gives me proof.. I am very annoyed by "my tranny broke down for 10th time!" It scares the helll out of me everytime I look at someone's post.

Scan the receipt or something so we can all complain to Infiniti!

Show me the Proof...

Re: OMG MY TRANNY!

Mine's just fine after 2000 miles. I think with the people who have repeated tranny failures, it may have to do with how they are driving their cars. It just doesn't make sense that some people have perfectly fine trannies and others have repeated failures.

Re: OMG MY TRANNY!

Mine hasn't gone bad yet, but it doesn't shift too smooth all the time. true though I don't know how a tranny can go bad over and over 4 or 5 times.

Re: OMG MY TRANNY!

Sometimes people grind their gears and not notice it. Its the way you drive. Mine is over 3000 now, other than being notchy, its fine

Re: OMG MY TRANNY!

I guess mine is ok now. I played around with shifting yesterday. I always press the clutch in all the way so that's not the problem. I just noticed that If I shift too fast or too slow it'll hit something. the car just has to be shifted just right, not too fast and not too slow . haha she likes it like that.

Re: OMG MY TRANNY!

3500 Miles and still goin. Though it is a little notchy and once in a while I have a problem getting into 4th. Seems only to occur when I am shifting really fast. I agree too that it may be the way that some people are driving the manual. I have seen several posts from people claiming that this car is their first manual. In my opinion this tranny is not the optimal type to learn on. That's what honda civics are for! He He = D

Re: OMG MY TRANNY!

well you know one reason it seems like everyone's tranny is shot is becuase ppl with problems in their G's come here to see if there are other instances of it... but of course ppl don't always praise the fact that their tranny is OKAY becuase well... thats what we expect...

it depends a lot on how you drive your car and how you BREAK IT IN... thats another important point... so be sure to break your G's in, people!!! =D

Re: OMG MY TRANNY!

Anyway to make the shifting smoother, IF it becomes "notchy"...are there any aftermarket parts that could fix this?

Re: OMG MY TRANNY!

Car has over 2600 miles and my notchy shifting tranny is great. Is this the first manual for the people that have had problems with their trannys? This is my 3rd manual car. I've been driving manuals for over 13 years.
