Drag Racing... G35c 5AT
The past couple of weekends I have gone to the drag races. I am running My 5AT coupe w/ Ztube, 19inch BBS Rgr, 350z Brembo Brakes. The first time I ran at the strip was a few months ago (first time for me and the car) I was running a low 14.8. This was without Z-tube and brembos. Last weekend I ran a 14.5. The only thing I did different was a small burnout and I didn't launch very high launch. What are some tips to bring these times down. Someone mentioned removing the Brake light fuse to disable traction control.

Temperature, humidity, and barometric pressure will vary your times greatly.
I got my best times leaving the VDC on and revving till about 1000 RPMs and just flooring it. 14.22. This was at 55 degrees on the street. Depending on traction of the surface and temp of your tires may play a role in what technique you want to use.
If you want to lower your times with mods, try a plenum and cats and a smaller diameter, lightweight wheel. Turning your VDC off is sufficient. If you don't believe that, go out to a parking lot when it's raining and turn your VDC off....you should be able to spin around ad infinitum.
