2004 Inventory Question

Hey guys I have been a lurker for the past few months. This is my first post. I am interested in purchasing a G35c A/T, Premium, Sport, and possibly Nav. Do you think as the 2005 arrive the dealers will reduce the prices of the 2004. If so can you guys give me an estimate of about how much.

Re: 2004 Inventory Question

I've been hearing 2000-2500 off. I guess it could possibly be more when the 05 hit.

Re: 2004 Inventory Question

I just purchased a 2004 Infiniti G35c 6MT, Premium, Nav and Aero. They said Nav is really hard to find right now, but I got mine for about $2250 off so you might be able to get 2000-2500 when the 05's come but I'm sure it'll be hard to find nav.

Re: 2004 Inventory Question

Thanks for all the great replies

The dealer (Infiniti of Orland Park) that I Spoke with today said that the 05's should get shipped around mid Sept and arrive in dealer showrooms by Oct. He also said that since the car is so hot he would have no troubles getting rid of any of the 04 coupes, therefore no big discounts. I wonder if he was just saying that to get me to bite.

On the flip side he had about 50 sedans on the lot that he would do anything to get rid of.
Once again thanks.

Re: 2004 Inventory Question

My dealer says 'LATE November' for automatics.
January or Feburary for Manuals.

Re: 2004 Inventory Question

My dealer would discount 1500 off, but only what he had in stock. they didn't have what I wanted, so they had to do a dealer search to find it. So transportation fees ate into my discount. But worth it to get what I want.

Re: 2004 Inventory Question

Thor20, now look guy, you can't tell me you went into a car dealership and expected him to tell you, "yea we can't get rid of the things, take 10K off the msrp". Of course he's going to tell you they're flying off the lot, no big discount, etc, thats the game.

The fact is though, you can go to some place like www.grubbs.com and get vpp pricing or extremely close to it. They will ship just about anywhere in the us, shrink wrapped, etc. Once you let your local guy know you are internet shopping, your bargaining power will go up.

In fact a lot dealers do have internet prices that they will not extend to you if you walk in, but if you contact via internet they will!

Re: 2004 Inventory Question

Thanks for the great advice I will pursue that angle. I would imagine that the closer I got to the release of the 05's the greater the discount at a dealer or over the internet on an 04 model.
