Question: The back window-all the white "nodes"?

These aren't bubbles in the window (not like the bad tint job on my 94 accord) hehe, but morelike they were put there for a purpose.. (is it for the heat conductor to clear the fog off the back window?)

At certain angles at certain times of the day I see the spots come out on my backwindow... they're uniform... columned and rowed off perfectly--I notice them on BMWs too... what are these?

They're not defects are they?

Thanks!

Those have been around for years. I first saw them on an early 70's Volvo (at the time). Either a factory tinting or safety glass artifact. Perfectly normal.

Found this a few years ago as well - talked to a service rep who said that they are an artifact caused by tempered glass - when it gets hot it will show the spots at certain angles...
