Question about a weird noise from a Certified Used 2006 G35 coupe owner.
SubscribeI have been searching for days now and have not found the answer to my question so I figured I should start a new post. I bought my 2006 G35 coupe about a month ago and everything was fine until yesterday morning. I am in Arizona so it has not been that cold, but yesterday morning when I started my car it was about 40-45 degrees. Everything was fine until I got to the stop sign at the end of my street. I went from about 20mph to 0mph to stop at the stop sign and as I did that it sounded like there was some sort of liquid splashing around in the front of the car. When I cam to a complete stop it went away until I start moving again and it made a mini splash noise. The noise happend one more time at the light about .5 miles away when I went from 30mph to 0mph to stop at the light. It did not happen the rest of the day. Has this every happend to anyone, or is there a post out there that someone can link me to where this was discussed?

It only happens once or twice in the mornings right? And it's not a splashing noise, it's more like something is releasing pressure noise right?
Ya only once or twice than it seems to settle down. Umm I am not sure what relasing pressure would sound like. The only reason I say splashing noise is because it is when I am braking the car so when it comes to a stop it is sounds like a liquid is splashing back. Sort of like when you come to a complete stop after going 20+mph your head pushes back, it sounds like the liquid splashes back. If I were to break super slow from 20 to 15 to 10 to 5 to stop it does not do it. It is more when it is sudden.

my car does that too, i am almost 100% sure its my front brakes
only happens when im driving forward slow and using my brakes

Does it only happen for you when the weather begins to get cold? Also why is it only when you move slow. It happened when I as going 30+mph and went to 0 at the light. The brakes is an interesting idea, but it sounds like a liquid splashing.
very similar thread was made couple days ago;
it ended up being air bubbles in the coolant causing the splash...
dont quote me though.

Do you remember what the post was called, or could you link me up to it? I am going to the dealer tomorrow so I would like to try to lead them in a certain direction.
Does anyone else have any ideas what this could be? I am going to the dealer today so I would like to be able to tell them a little more if that is possible.

Any funny smells around the engine bay after being driven?
Maybe it's just gas sloshing around that you heard.

No funny smells that I have smelt so far. It seems to do it the loudest in the morning, and than quiethly throughout the day. Maybe it is just the brakes, but it sounds like some sort of liquid... It is only when I push on the brakes

Low washer fluid will slosh around quite a bit, and sometimes it's audible under just the right circumstances. Add a quart of windshield washer fluid and see if the sound diminishes or goes away...
