Got miles?
Re: Got miles?
where you at Sam Woo on Sunday night? I saw a coupe with the skyline emblem.
I drive from Irvine to City of Industy 26 miles each way everyday. It sucks...but oh well, its a car...

Re: Got miles?
I have a sedan but how about 16k miles the first 3 months and 41k miles after 15 months?
By the way I only live 10 miles from work and I don't drive the G in Winter time or on rainy days either

Re: Got miles?
So far two AZ-FL roadtrips, a couple of AZ to San Diego road trips, Holbrook to Phoenix once per month (600 mile round trip), Holbrook to NM (500-700 mile round trip), etc etc, etc. took a 2300 mile road trip AZ-UT-ID-MT-WY-CO-NM last month.
third set of tires, just put on second set of brake pads, third incabin filter, diff/MT fluid, many oil changes, etc, etc.

Re: Got miles?
I'm keeping my 96 Accord to use as my regular commute car, even though my commute is only 9 miles. I don't want to put all those miles on the car and this way, insurance will be cheaper too. Plus, the honda will last forever and i can drive it to the bars, Tahoe, or shady neighborhoods without flipping out.
For those who don't want t buy a 'beater', you can get some decent used cars for a few thou....I'm sure Olds Alero's are dirt cheap and they aren't bad cars. I had one for rental and the V6 has lots of torque and the steering wheel is nice and fat but very overboosted.

Re: Got miles?
Are you sure about the insurance thing? I used to work about 5 miles from home. I had my agent (Allstate), change it to say 35 miles to work, since I changed jobs a few years ago. My agent told me it doesn't make a difference. When I got the G and the TL, I tried juggling them around to see if it would make a difference, stuff like if it's under my name as primary or my wife's etc. Weekend car, commuter car, etc. Didn't make a difference.
So anyways, my commute to work is like 80 miles roundtrip. since I got the G, I split the miles with my other car, to try and keep the milage sane, as my other car racked up 25,000+ miles per year. My wife is even crazier. She put 32,000 miles on her TL in the first year.
But, even if it is a 40 mile drive to work, driving the G to work, makes the drive more relaxing

Re: Got miles?
My Coupe turned a year old on August 11th. I have almost 12K miles on it. I'm trying to follow the 12K miles per year US average (especially since my lease is based on that). I wish I could drive my G more, but during the summer -no college- I have nowhere to go, lol.

Re: Got miles?
You may like mine. My G Coupe was purchased the day after Thanksgiving, 2002. 21 months later, my odometer reads, 15,338. Divided by 21 is 730.4 miles per month. Just remember, "All of those hours your G spends parked, you don't get those hours back." I'm doing my best, believe me!
