I have an 05 g35 premium package but it does not have the smart key system....im curious if i were to buy the smart key with remote off ebay would i be able to use it with my car for the basic functions to keyless lock and unlock open trunk and set off alarm???..............it just looks alot cooler then the FOB

don't waste your time - get the fold out flip key remote combination from ebay or elsewhere - much better now that the key and remote are one - easier to do than the smart key route or you can order it premade
