your ok. 1/2 cm over the top line of the dip stick is nothing. after 1000 miles your engine would of eat a bit more than that. quit worrying!!

Well, I did something stupid by checking the oil 10mins right after I turned it off. Not realizing it would take at last half a day for the oil to settle.

When I checked the dipstick, it was half way between the Full and Low line.

So I added 1 more qt...

I checked again an hr later and it was 1cm above the fill line.

After posting this thread, I checked again and it was 1inch above the line.

So in the end, I grabbed a 2.5ft aquarium tube and a syringe to siphon the excess oil out. about 1 qt. Took me a while off an on to do it this way.
(3 hrs off an on).
