Drivers window

Hi again. Sorry to be a pain in the **** but I have another problem which has just started. The drivers window wont drop when I open the door, It sometimes does but if it sticks I give the door a big whack and it works and also when the window goes right down it stays at the bottom untill I whack it again. Can anyone help???? Just had a great answer to my dodgy door locks, Lets hope these problems dont come in 3s??? Cheers G.

Window motors are quite common in causing this problem.

When you purchase a replacement motor, are these motors prone to premature failure as well? I'm having the same issue with my passenger window. It works whenever the f*ck it wants to.
