In 9 months Ive had about 9 or 10 repairs dont to the rear tires only. This week someone slashed my rear tire and I paid 262 to purchase a new tire.

Today I received the tire and went to replace the bad one. The regular guys I go to were not at the shop today. Some teenagers were minding the business. I figured its just a tire swap so let it be. The kids broek the tire pressure monitor off the rim when changing the tires. I was so mad. It seems everytime I fix something, something else messes up one way or another whether it be by my own choice or not.

I called Infiniti. They said the tire pressure monitor inside each rim will cost me 292 bucks.

I have to go to the tire shop tomorrow when the owner is present to try and work something out and get them to compensate me for the damage done.

So far the result of this TPM being broke is no biggie..just that the TP alert on the dashboard doesnt shut off.

I dont think I will be able to afford getting a new TPM for that one rear tire (unless the tire shop pays) until maybe next year with a portion of my tax return.

Will it be ok for me to drive around liek this as long as I manually go round my G and check each tire pressure once a week?

I was just thinking...I see alot of offers on Ebay and in the parts/accessories forum for 18's stock. One guy will even sell just one to me..Should I try purchasing the entire rim? Will it come with the TPM? It might even workout cheaper cuz that particular rim with the broke TPM on my ride is looking really beat up with tons of scratches and scrapes and...carved up too..yes carved..long story.

I guess maybe I should ask the seller huh?

Wow, you need some good luck...

When buying a rim, I would definitely ask any seller if they are including the TPS with the rim. I would imagine poeple would take the TPS off so they could install it on their new rims.

On another note, I think that your tire pressure sensor might have had problems anyway. Didn't you say in another post that you tried Fix-A-Flat? According to the owner's manual that is bad for the sensors.

Maybe this is good luck... The shop should have to pay for a sensor that you might have needed anyway :-)
