Just got back from a YEAR long deployment and while I have been gone my baby has been slowly falling apart. I have a 03 G35 couple

I have a few problems with my car such as:

VDC/slip lights, brake light are steady on.

Passenger window stuck and the door does not unlock or lock with electronic function.

Temp control unit is Crazy WIERD!!! At 60 degrees it works normal COLDDDDD air comes out. However as soon as I put it on 61 it works as if I had put it on 90 degrees. I know it works with an outside air temp sensor. I just find it would that there is such a dramatic difference between 60 and 61 degrees. It does not matter if I am in manual, auto, auto/econ modes the same air flow difference occurs. I am still able to change how high the fan blades run in man mode, and it still adjusts automatically in auto.


alot of these issues I have found info on in these fourms, but some I have not found as much as I would like. Any more info or greater descriptions of the already posted info would be awesome.

While I have found alot of the info on the fourms about some of my issues any more help would be nice. There is no warrenty so im using alot of me power.

^^^check your brake fluid and top it off b/c it is likely to be low.

 

Welcome back home and glad you made it back safe.

1. VDC/slip lights, brake light are steady on:

Before you top off your brake fluid make sure you brake pads are not low and in need of replacement. There are a few sensors near your wheels that will give you these symptoms if they are damaged.

2. Passenger window stuck and the door does not unlock or lock with electronic function.

This is a very common issue for the G35/350Z. You will need to replace the actuator for the lock and the motor for the window. Each piece runs from 150-200 new. It's a simple DIY, I just did mine a few months ago in less than an hour.

3. Temp control unit is Crazy WIERD!!!

There is a sensor in your car underneath at the bottom right of the steering wheel (small square aerated grid). If you've recently removed the plastic covering you might have accidentally unplugged it.

Everything yoiu both said about the vdc and parking brake was right. Im assuming power steering fluid was for VDC and Brake fliud was for the parking brake.

while i was deployed I my mom brought the issue up and she had been dealing with it for so long. I didn't think the fix was going to be so easy.

AS far as the temp control goes I have to wait till i get home to see underneath that thing I was thinking about sensor hopefully thats it bc im not in the mood to deal with it!!!!
