What does the "S" add to the G35?
#17
Hey guys first post.
I have done some searching and can't find real specific answer.
I currently drive a 2006 Maxima SE and the lease it up in June.
I'm looking to bump up to a G35 Coupe. I know the X is awd but what does the S add? I'm looking for a 2004-2006. which is better?
are there any G35 to stay away from?
Also how much faster will it be than my Maxima?
thanks

these were more expensive and also more costly to maintain as well so not too many people could handle this new responsibility and thus opted for the regular G35 leaving many of the Superior!!! behind doors of the factory only to reemerge later on even after the advent of their newer siblings the G37...
not much is known about the G35S... only that some claim they are even more powerful than the G37 and rivaling their distant cousins the GTR...

starting in 05 there were a few extraordinary circumstances where the factory had fortunately screwed up on the VQ35 engine and some were somehow metentically mutated to a new form of VQ35 engines designated G35S (I believe in the Coupe Series only) and thus were introduced to the mass at a very special offering to those who wanted superior vehicular powerplant in the average form of a G35 coupe,

Sport suspension. 306hp. with the HR engine. Also the sedan bodystyle is more like the g37. I debadged the g35 off of mine and keep getting asked if it is a 37.
I know the MTs have had oil consumption problems
Sport package equipped cars also get a viscous limited slip differential. An all-new Active Steering package can be ordered for sport package equipped models. It features a planetary gearset on the steering shaft (similar to BMW), that varies the steering ratio between 12.0:1 and 18.5:1. A rear-wheel steering system that induces up to one degree of rear steer is also included in this package. The Active Steering package includes even stiffer shocks than the sport package at all four corners and the ride has been repeatedly reported as being too stiff for most customers except the most "enthusiastic" drivers.

That’s false I own one
Bro that is so not true I own an 08 and it is a sport with the red badge and has a sport mode and what the S does is it ramps up your RPMs so that the car moves faster
