first time i heard that
Would you want to remote start a manual car in any gear other than neutral....? Pretty much common sense... its gonna jolt forward and stall out if done in 1st thru 6th... duh!

Thats the only way Ive ever heard of remote starts being installed in manuals... make sure ebrake is on and car in neutral.

There have been many instances where the car did NOT stall out since it was already in gear and the clutch was all the way out. These are the stories about cars ramming in to other cars / objects.

Your method is not considered safe - they make remote starts specifically for manuals or you can reference the P/NP switch that the G35 has. Simply making sure the ebrake is on and the car is in netural is bound to cause an issue eventually.

To me its 2nd nature to put my car in 1st and engage the ebrake everytime I get out, havent forgot since Ive owned the car. Guess other people cant remember to do that on a daily basis. If I had remote start, remembering to be in neutral and ebrake all the time wouldnt be a prob for me. But Im never getting remote start on mine so it doesnt matter.

Now push button start.. thats something I want to tackle one day soon

maybe someone who has done it can answer my question.... if you hold the unlock button the windows go down. now if you program the memory seats to the control does that mean that every time you would hold down the unlock both the windows and seats will adjust??
