If the rumored $80k+ price tag is true for the GT-R, it will have to be a much better car than the next M3. I'm still hoping for a GT-R that costs about the same as or less than an M3 so maybe I'll be able to afford one down the road. Either way, I can't wait to find out what the new GT-R is going to be like.

The next M will now be called the M4 not the M3 just a little F.Y.I.

Actually, BMW said they will probably not go with the 4-series naming scheme for the M3 coupe as the M3 name is too well known and has a lot of marketing value. I'm not sure if this will also apply to the new 3-series coupe.

M3. BMW build quality must be better than my damn $40k "luxury line" car with huge panel gaps all over the interior. And cheap interior materials to boot.

Yes you're right. The most recent info from BMW is there will be no 4-Series as the 3-series name has too much brand equity.

I thought they were making a M2 that is cheaper than the G and faster.

Nah dude, you gotta catch up on the reading. They change it back to M3.

Evosports came out with a supercharger for the current m3 with an engine rebuild, so no kaboom. 600hp at crank lol

Actually It will still be called the M3. BMW decided to not use M4 or even 4 series for any 2 door 2006 3 series.
