I've seen some G35 coupes rolling around with chromed out 18" factory wheels. Is this a factory option?

 

No. But sometimes a dealer or owner will get them chrom dipped aftermarket.

 

actually some dealers have it as an option, the last time i checked they were a little under $2000 (ADDED onto the performance tire/wheel package, so overpriced imo)

 

back in August 03' , they wanted $1700 for the chrome rims

Infiniti does NOT sell chrome G35 18" wheels. A dealer can provide you wheels that are chromed aftermarket. I had a set triple-plate chromed for $500 with 3-yr warranty.

 

pretty much any dealer will do it for you. there is this company that has a trade in deal. you pay up front for a new set of stock rims in chrome. when you get the chrome set you send your original set back to them, depending on the condition of your rims, they will give you a credit for the rims. i was gonna do it with my corvette, but then decided against it.

Note, unless they've changed policy, they'll only work through dealer. I had an 18" G35 OEM set chromed in May '04 for $500 + $40 shipping (again, they come with 3 yr warranty). They look great.
