BREAKS making NOISE i NEVER HEARD

I get the common squeeky breaks that most of you guys hear when breaking in your car, but yestutday i was driving and i heard somethine 100x worse. It sounded like metal on metal. Really loud and embarassing. Has anyone ever got this? The car stops the same but my break pads are probably worn our, right? Thanx

Yeah, it's probably your pads worn out. How many miles on your car? You should take it to the dealership ASAP otherwise you're gonna have to replace your rotors.
