Repainting whole exterior...Darker version of DG?

Im getting my whole car repainted free but the shop only does exterior, they don't take out the engine whatsoever. My car is DG now but im thinking about making it a darker version of it? Has anyone done this? any opinions?

UPDATE: Car is finally done

sorry for crappy photos

Look what came in today. i dont dig the driver's style

Why are you getting it repainted? I wouldn't recommend any non-OEM color if you're planning on selling the car in the future, it'll bring the resale value down big time.

actually i dont plan on reselling the car in the future.
im getting it repainted because i have scratches and chips and dings in many places and my uncle's shop is willing to repaint the entire car for me. they aren't a bad shop since they are in the top list of recommended shops for quite a few insurance companies.
pretty much all my cars have always been here for repair or installations lol

if his shop has a color array sample for the OEM DG color, just go with the darker formula. The array sets usually go 5-shades lighter and darker to help with blending aged cars.

i believe they do the door and trunk jambs. just not the engine bay. this is why i needed some opinions on a darker shade of DG so that it wouldn't be as much difference in the engine bay

As long as they do the jambs etc. I wouldn't worry too much about the rest.
It's not really matched any way (not clear coated)

IMO a darker DG would look great!!!!
I've always wished there was an OE colour like that.

If you go ahead with it.....

Yea gloss black is better to blend in with the windows, and gloss black the grille and side mirror bases
