I got a speeding ticket going 51 in a 40 zone. The ticket just came and it says to pay $10.00 is this correct or what? It says on the letter violation: 22350 VC- Unsafe speed for prevailing CO.
Should I just mail in the 10 bucks or should I go to court and fight it? Cause it will be 1 point on my driving record but I don't know can they correct my fee if I go to court?

 

i believe if u fight it and lose u have to pay court cost also, i would mail in the ten bucks cause 1 point isnt alot on someones license i think if ur over 21 u need around 14 or so to get them suspended

 

$10 ticket and 1 point... I DEFINITELY wouldnt object to that. Send the $10 in and call it a day.

 

man I would be extremely excited if my speeding ticket was only 10 bux!!! you might be able to take traffic school to remove the point off your record

 

^^^+1... i didnt know it could be so cheap... Thats the fee for a fix it tixket. If the court system screwed up, its definitely in your favor. I'd pay the $10 and call it a day.

 

Pay the ticket then fight it. If the cop shows up to court just ask to go to traffic school. They give you that option before court starts here in Cali.

 

10 bucks? thats the cheapest ticket i've ever heard of lol speeding tickets are usually 100 and up and at least 2 points

 

yea I dont know why it is so cheap. Fix it ticket cost $25 now on California.

I got a $255 ticket a few months ago for going 30 in a 25... I didn't even know that was possible !! I went to court and they lowered it to 135$. wtf?

 

make a copy of it, pay the 10 bucks if they say anything be like u said it was 10 bucks

although i think i mailed in a pic of my car with plates and 10 bucks
