During the past couple of weeks, I noticed a slight grinding while trying to shift into 5th gear. I went to the dealer today and they confirmed that my transmission needed to be replaced. WTF, I only have 15,000 miles on the car. They are getting a transmission shipped overnight so they car install it on my car by tomorrow evening. They stated that they would also give me a new shifter due to the leather peeling off. Should I also get a new clutch with the transmission replacement?

On a lighter note, they gave me a g35-auto sedan as a loaner car. Why does the sedan auto feel faster than my 04 6mt coupe with z-tube and JWT pop-charger? When I get my car back, the first thing that I am going to do is take off that darn pop-charger and replace it with the stock power duct and air box and leave the z-tube in place.

My trans was just replaced at 21K miles. 4th to 6th and 5th to 6th were grinding pretty bad. Had to fight tooth and nail for two weeks but finally got it replaced. They replaced the trans and clutch even though the clutch was just fine. Corporate is sending the whole system new so theres no problems from what I've been told. Glad you didnt have to go through hell for a replacement like I did.

I was very impressed with my sedan loner as well!! Had it for the two weeks and was hard to give back.

my mom's g35x 5at doesnt even really compare to my g35 6mt coupe with ztube/pc.

That's what did,I repleased P/c before i take my car in for window won't roll up and the car run much better and now I have another problem I hear a litter noise when I was taking off. Time to take it back , and drive a loner car again last time I got a 2004 FX 35 and that thing got a memory seat and I love it.Why can we have that on our G.Is this fun or what? 6mt b/b

 

my tranny had 16,100 miles and 5th gear grinded, got a brand new clutch and tranny installed in a day. I had a 03 auto sedan as well but with just stillen air box and z tube my car was noticeably faster i thought....
