Exclamation Dead bulb - side of tail light - what kind of bulb??

I just bought my G about a week ago and just noticed that the bulb is out in the passenger side tail light. Not any of the LED's, but the bulb that lights the rectangle on the side of the tail light.

Does anybody know what kind of bulb this is?? I've searched all over and can't find the bulb # or type or w.e...

Thanks!!!

I am 95% sure it's a 194. Same as the corner lights up front.

Pull it out and take a photo.

Angry

Strange I just changed my left side a month ago now both are out. I had one led on the left and a regular 194/168 on the right now they are out. I thought led's don't burn out. Could it be due to the mixing of led on 1 side with conventional on the other? I bought regular 194 long life sylvanias and will change tomorrow. I hope it's not the fuse, that fusebox is a PITA. Too lazy to remove the battery to change fuses.

You should always change things in pairs. That could have been the problem.

And no, they do burn out they just take way longer than your average bulb.

Is it a round 194 bulb or one of the 194/168 wedge bulbs that goes in the tail? I'm not talking about the LED I'm talking about the square side marker on the tail light.

I just ordered 2 of the 194/168 wedges to swap out the strip light on the side of the 04 headlight (not sure what its called) with a bright white one instead of the stock dull yellow/white bulb...

194 and 168 are the same exact thing. Don't ask me why people decided to give it two names.

The bulbs you ordered will work just fine in the taillights, too. But I'd just get some regular peanut bulbs...no need for LEDs there.

The JDM tails don't even have those side bulbs. Obviously the Japanese didn't think they were necessary.

Yeah.. I'm torn. While it does look clean on the side where its still dead (damn 14 hour work days) I think I might replace it. I think its a nice little accent, looks a little too empty with just the LED's on. I'm going to end up swapping for some 06 tails soon anyway though

All I can say after a week of ownership is I LOVE the G. I've already got parts on the way and a tint appointment on thursday. My Z tube will be here tomorrow and the pop filter and heat shield on thursday.

Now I've just got to find a shop that will pass me for tint in NJ... I'm due for inspection in 4 months. Thinking I mayyyy just tint the rear windows now, and do the front 2 after inspection. Damn NJ and the strict tint laws
