Thumbs up COMPLETED: 03-04 G35 coupe instrument cluster/gauge color change

finally got to finish up this cluster. did various experimenting and messing around..basically molested this cluster to see what can be done.

this was a spare cluster i bought off ebay from a 2003 G35 coupe, automatic w/ navi and about 62K on the clock.

i need a better camera. the red is true red in person. where ever it may seem that there are hot spots, it's very uniform to the human eye. don't mind the different colors here and there. just wanted to show what can be done, i.e. the blue odometer LCD, white gear indicator LCD, white temp needle. the blue odometer LCD is actually more of an aqua blue than represented in the pics. the first pic shows how crisp the white is. don't know why the camera made it more yellow in the subsequent pics.

well, without further ado, here's the finished pics:

The only change I'd like to have seen is the major dash marks on the tach in red, too.

the 03-04 clusters uses incandescent bulbs from the factory. the 05-07's use LED's. so i had to retrofit LED's in the bulb bases one by one.

as far as the ticks on the tach, that could've been done but i was just using this cluster as my guinea pig and did a bunch of diff looks to it.
