mrev2

06' 5at athens blue stock (NOOB)

I'm planning on installing a 5 1/6 motordyne spacer.
1. I live in NY is copper needed because it gets cold here.
2. I'm putting a z tube in also.
3. What is a mrev2? I did do some research and I'm not sure if the 06' is a rev up engine or not.
With these mods does the ECU need to be reflashed.

Also what size spacer is needed to bring the stock wheels closer to the outside of the car.

Thanks Charlie

MREV2 + 5/16th spacer is a great mod together on rev-ups.

You can get a reflash, it will help some if you do.

25mm all 4 corners.

Only 6MT's have the rev up engine, so no, you don't have it or need the mrev2.

You don't need to reflash the ecu, just reset it (unplug the battery for 1+ hrs). I suggest waiting until you get all your breather mods done before you get a reflash.

+1 on 25mm all around if you have the oem 19"s.

Pretty sure all '06 are revup - check your redline to confirm. I believe 7K is the revup redline.

EDIT: NM Silencer_0 is more informed - believe him first.

05+ 6MT's are rev-up, no 5AT's are rev-up.

7k is redline, but I don't know it 06 are all rev-ups or not.

if it isn't rev-up like Silencer said don't bother.

I think 25mm will still suit your 18's well.

Do you have to buy the MREV2 AND plenum spacer to get the 15HP increase or is that just the MREV 2?

Yes, in order to get the 15HP/18TQ+ gains you need both the spacer and mrev2. But that's only if you have a REV-UP engine, which you being a 5AT, do not have. So don't even bother getting the mrev2. Just get the iso-thermal spacer kit by itself, it's still good for 10-12HP and is one of the best mods to do.

1. I live in NY is copper needed because it gets cold here. Yes
2. I'm putting a z tube in also. Good, get a K&N drop in filter for better flow too
3. What is a mrev2? I did do some research and I'm not sure if the 06' is a rev up engine or not. MREV2 is for REVUP motors which you don't have since you have a 5AT trans.
With these mods does the ECU need to be reflashed. Follow the instructions when installing the spacer, it recommends removing the negative side of the battery....do so!
Also what size spacer is needed to bring the stock wheels closer to the outside of the car. Sorry Charlie, I dislike spacers!
Thanks Charlie
Gary
