I was wondering if our G can hang againts all the different modifications of the TT? There is a chance for me to race one and wanted to know before I even agree on it.

Are you serious? Ive never raced one, but I always thought it was all show, no go. A chick car. The numbers Ive seen on the internet are all around 6.2 0-60 and 14.6 1/4 mile. Shouldnt be a problem for you.

you'd smoke one...I've beat an Audi 2.7T in a street race at a drag strip (meaning I beat him from pint A to B, but he got a faster 1/4 mile)

You will eat a stock TT, but you said with mod's? Depends what modifications, if its a chip, exhaust, pullies and the works you wont beat it!!

If its the 1.8 tt and its modded, you WILL get raped. My friend has a tt with mods and it hits high 12's to low 13's at the track. Dont underestimate ones with mods

A TT that does high 12 - low 13 needs more than just "mods" - must have FI in order to get these numbers.

There is an audi TT for "Turbo" lol, the 1.8l turbo engine found in the a4's and numerous other cars of Audi/VW. It is so easy to upgrade the 2.7lt engines found in the S4's and just as easy for the audi tt's!! A simple chip that raises the boost and other things gives you minumum of 50+ hp and 70+lb ft of torque =)

What I meant, was aftermarket FI in some form of an upgrade to the stock engine....
Obviously the "Turbo" the Audi puts in the TT models, is not a FI in the form of what you would typically see in aftermarket kits. Take a look at these Saabs with their idiotic "turbocharged" models - 0-60' times....

But dropping a chip on those motors increases power so much and for so cheap. You really can't underestimate them.

From a member of ACNA and long time (former) owner of a heavily modded S4, you'd definitely win if he's stock.

And to the guy that claims his friend's TT is hitting high 12s - think again. My S4 had K04s, an ECU, an MBC set for 18 psi, 5 bar FPR, split downpipes, and cat back exhaust and ran about 12.7 in the quarter. With a full stage 3 setup and all the trimmings a TT would run low-mid 13s.

yah, those S4s are fast and quick! my friends S4 does 12s in his 2000 S4 as well...and in need of a rollcage to keep racing at speed. I'll eat him up on the road course though, he's not much of an autox'er.

Neon im sorry to say, but with your specs and turbo upgrades you should easily be in low 12's to high 11's because i know many people witht he same specs, gfull RS4 upgraded engine and are running that!! You prob cant drive =) JK But this place here in NY strictly works with Audi's and VW's and brings them to shows, thats how i know alot about them...

I should clarify - I didn't have a full stage 3 setup. Mine doesn't have the larger RS4 fuel injectors, intake and programming. Instead I was running an MBC to control boost. It pretty much eliminates lag (as if there were ever much with those small snails).

And for the record, I really *can't* drive for crap. My times were about on par for similar setups though
