Hey Guys,
Frequently, when going into first gear, the car vibrates like the clutch is grabbing and slipping. It's not a "no grab" type of slip where my revs will just skyrocket with no power to the wheels. The car will move, but it feels like it's bogging or slipping in the process. Giving it more gas will simply make the issue more noticeable.
The car does this going into first and reverse, and in both cases can be "fixed" (more like hidden) by essentially giving the car no gas and letting it ride itself into gear. At first I figured - bad clutch, replace and be done with it.
Occasionally, though this one is very rare, I will push the clutch in and the car will absolutely refuse to go into first. No grinding, no noise, but I simply cannot push it into first. After releasing the clutch and pressing again it's like butter. This almost seems like it would be a cylinder problem. Furthermore, my pedal occasionally can feel relatively sticky, or simply not smooth. The only thing is, there's no leaking clutch fluid that I can tell.
I have replaced the fluid myself multiple times using DOT4 Brake Fluid, and the fluid looks clean.
My question is - master cylinder, slave cylinder, bad pressure plate, bad clutch line, or just air somewhere?
(Random side question: can anyone actually describe the engine noise encountered when the oil consumption issue is presented? I'm pretty sure I don't have the problem, but I'm curious what I can look for other than, obviously, checking my oil levels.)

mine wouldnt be very hard to go into 1st and reverse from a stop. I've replaced my slave cylinder, but havent had a chance to drive it yet. But you have a similiar issue to mine.
And also my clutch checked out just fine with the manufacturer when I sent it in...
hoping it was just a cylinder.

Let me know what happens when you get a chance to drive the car. I don't feel like it's the clutch but at the same time I feel like if I keep driving it on a bad cylinder it will become a bad clutch.
Another side question: does anyone else have a clicking noise when accelerating fairly hard in their 6MT? Drive at low speeds in a high gear and push the pedal to the floor, whenever I do it I get a loud click sound, almost sounds like it's coming from the tranny. It's not the rear axle click, I had that inspected and repaired about 3k miles ago, and I know the conditions which would cause that issue and the sound that it made. This sounds like it's straight from under the hood. Granted, I have been hearing a lot of transmission noise when driving slowly next to other cars (so I could hear the echo), how often are people changing transmission fluid and what are you guys using?
