I have some problems driving with my all-season tires in the ice here in DE. We just had two feet of snow over the weekend, and another foot coming tomorrow.

Once I'm moving, it's fine. Really, the problem for me is going up a hill to exit my development...

I'll agree with what you read. Be very cautious when you accelerate in snowy conditions.

^All-seasons are really only good for summer and a little bit of snow here and there, not conditions like whats been going on in the east coast.

Oh yeah? And how many times have you driven your G35 in snow, living in Mirimar CA?
I'm originally from Pennsylvania. I know all about driving in ****ing snow, rain, black ice, etc...

My question was how many times have you actually driven your G35 specifically in snow with summer tires on it? Having prior experience up here in the Northeast's snowstorms with other cars and other tires isn't going to give you the full idea of just how bad our cars stock tires are in snow.

Unless you've tried it specifically with the stock tires on our cars, you are most likely overestimating the capability of the stock tires. Trust me.. the stock tires on these cars are pretty much useless in snow/ice.

OK. I only had a few months experience in these conditions while driving this car. Yes, the stock tires do suck on slippery roads. There were many times where I wished I had AWD. They will grip just fine in the rain though. I had a pair of all season radials at the time and they weren't much better.

This is what I highly recommend. I picked up a cheapy gnarly looking 89 cherokee to do my snow/winter driving in. Got the beast for 400 bucks. Aint pretty to look at, but I dont get stuck and my g has been nice and cozy all winter in its garage. F snow, f snow tires, f salt, f all that stuff.

Cheapy winter beater is where its at.

I have 04 coupe 6MT with toyo garrett winter tires....no issues at all with winter traction. I can get on it fairly hard too, just cant really go over 3500-4000 rpm. You be fine as long as your not an idiot about it.
