Outer tire edges wearing out faster
Outer tire edges wearing out faster
Got a bone stock '07 5AT coupe with the 19" Rays and sport suspension. Tire pressure is always kept at recommended 35 psi.
All 4 tires are wearing out faster at the outer edge. I thought with the factory negative camber, the inner tire edges would wear faster instead.
Is this considered normal or should I consider wheel alignment? I also read somewhere that you can't really do an alignment on the front wheels.

Rimshaker, that's anything but normal for our Infiniti's! You need an alignment, find a nice clean and reliable independent alignment/brake shop in your area. Watching so called mechanics at places like Sears, Firestone and Goodyear is like watching a monkey f^ck a football....think about it visually. I wouldn't even go to those stores for a battery....scary how they don't know how to do their jobs!

Incompentency is everywhere. It took our local Nissan dealer 4.5 hours to get my alignment done. Granted I am dropped slightly, but come on guys.
I also had a tire shop tell me I couldn't put 245/40/19's on the front of my sedan because they would rub and wouldn't fit properly. Which is funny because they were replacing well worn 245/40/19's that had been on the car for more than 20,000 miles with no signs of rubbing anywhere.
