Service Light...TPS code..

Well just bought the g35 about a week ago, put 1 tank of gas thus far and it threw a service engine soon light after it wouldnt accelerate after a stop sign. Started back up perfectly fine and drove it home, got the code checked at autozone and it was for the TPS throttle position sensor. My questions are is it as simple as replacing the sensor? Should i have the code cleared and see if it comes back again..possible a hic-cup? Possible the throttle body plate just stuck because of the cold conditions and thats why it threw the code?

Just looking for ideas/suggestions before i start replacing parts.

Also, do these codes clear themselves once the problem is resolved or does a dealer need to clear the code so its removed from the dash display?
