X02 exhaust is nothing more than a HKS clone. The pipe and stainless is of far lesser quality than the real thing, eventually (year or two) you'll start having cracks due to normal vibration. You're better off buying HFC's and keeping the OE exhaust, that's where most of the restriction is and they're less than $500 a pair.... X02 exhaust is a eBay item, not sold on DRIVER!

^lol bold statement saying the exhaust will crack. I'll be sure to let you know in another years time when mine has no problems. It sure isn't as nice as an HKS, but it is far from a POS, especially with all the new variations.

And to the OP i've never seen it sold by a vendor here

oh.. i swore i did. maybe i was dreaming LOL... i heard alot of good things on the XO2.. and that it actually has better gain then HKS due to bigger piping... but thats just what i read.. oh well.. EBAY? i seen them but its not called XO2

XET? how is the sound? i saw youtube clips sounds good but want a personal input.. is it really loud? or a little deeper then stock..? and is it good for daily driver use.. i don't want a loud exhaust and later get a headache from it.. na mean?

I have XO2 (HKSclone) exhaust and have nothing but good things to say about the exhaust ..... You WILL feel a noticable difference in power over the stock exhaust and I havent dont HFC's or headers yet.
As far as loud goes, that is a matter of opinion. (this is coming from guy that had a 94 5.0 Mustang w/ Flowmasters and no cats) To me its not that loud while cruising. I can talk on the phone in the car while driving without a problem and I dont have shout at passengers in the car or turn the radio up high to hear music over the exhaust. I will tell you there is some drone at highway speeds. I will also say, after having this exhuast I dont think I will ever be able to go back to stock, stock sounds so wimpy now compared to my exhaust.

They're all the same on ebay...X02 was just the first name for the HKS clone. Now it seems every ebay seller has their own name for it (gt exhaust, etc.). They all come out of the same factory from god knows what asian nation. Just find the cheapest, cuz there's no difference.

Here's my videos of the exhaust.

With and without test pipes.

With test pipes inside cabin.

With test pipes and Magnaflow resonated x-pipe.

I've had 2 of them. Both never really gave me much problems except for the usual driver side tip not sitting where it is suppose to sit. For $260 brand new, I can't beat it.

When I installed it, I felt a slight increase in power. I then got test pipes. Then went with test pipes and stock exhaust and felt some power loss in the mid-range. Then went back to the X02 with test pipes. With test pipes and the X02, I would Rasp HARD! Then installed a Magnaflow Resonated x-pipe for $77 shipped and the sound is much better. No drone.

For $260, this is a bargain. If it breaks, I'll pick up another one for $260 brand new.

If you search around, I would not recommend this exhaust if you live in a wet or snowy area. Yes rust will be an issue. I live in SoCal, so I'm good.

Here's a dyno of the X02 for the very few performance minded G35 owners.

Not all x02 clones are exactly the same, look up the KCR post it will cover all your basic questions, clones are much nicer than the originals now.

As far as sound it sounds very similar in person to Jairen's post, I absolutely love it and get plenty of compliments on it. Mine had to break in a tiny bit when I first got it but after that the sound is just amazing and I would def do this mod again. It isn't too loud but noticeably louder than stock, I want to do HFC in the future to get it a bit louder personally.
