I honestly have 19x10 (all rears) Tenzo Type M wheels in black.. They are pretty damn concaved.

Not the greatest brand or liked wheel but that is MY personal favorite wheel of all time so thats why I bought them. I get compliments on them like no other from everyone and they really look great.

For a lip, no doubt Work varianza T1S IMO.

Concave.. I wish mine were more concave sometimes. Those Weds Sport SA-60 will look mighty tempting when they're out..

^NICE

To me lipped wheels always look atleast 2 sizes smaller than they actually are unless the spokes go almost right to the lip edges. If Im gonna buy 20s, I want them to actually look like 20s when theyre on the car.

Concave baby!

Everyone and their brother has lipped Volks on their G35, they still look good to me, but way too played out

I don't get this 'played out' mentality at all. It's like putting on a GTR bumper because everyone else has a Nismo, then patting yourself on the back for being 'unique'. I'm not talking specifically about lip vs concave here, just in general.

Whats not to get? Played out means too many people are running them. I like a few of the Volk wheels but to me buying something just cuz of the name and its popularity does nothing, Id rather have a nice concave set that barely anyone has then a lipped wheel that 1000s of other people have... just personal preference... nothing more.

No one is gonna have a totally one off car unless your building a custom showcar or something, but Id opt to go with appearance mods that are less used, be it a bumper, or wheels are whatever

I wasn't specifically aiming it towards you, by the way. For me I didn't buy Volk wheels because everybody has them, I bought them because it was the best combination of looks, quality, weight, and price. This may be a reason why so many people have them, because they are good wheels. I'd much rather have all the qualities a Volk wheel brings to the table than buy some Tenzos because not everybody has them.

But yeah if you're just buying wheels to be 'unique' then I can see why you'd go with something else. Just a different approach to modding I guess.

I know what you mean. I know people who don't buy specific wheels because they think they're "played out", even though they know they would love to have them lol. Like my vs-xx, I'm well aware people on this forum think they're "played out", but I got them anyway because they were the only wheels i instantly loved the first time I saw them on a G. Luckily no one has the same wheels at the local meets I go to haha . Except Dustin, but I've only seen him come out here once!

But back on topic. Concave wheels do look nice, but like others have said, the wheels that are out for the G aren't realy that concave. I'm all for big lips .

No love for the Nismo 370 wheels?

And since I'm no engineer, is it possible to have a wheel with both a little lip (about two inches) AND be concave?

There are a few concave with lips.. I think some TE37s will have that look. Or it might have been the Rota Grids.. can't remember off hand nor if they're atleast 2" on the lip.

I like both, it all depends on the rim.. I really like Volks Progressiv line for the lip-less look, and i really like J Line's stepped lip setups.
