Anyone have any input on whether this is a hoax?

Canadian seller claims to ship 2003 - 2004.5 Coupe or Sedan Infiniti repair manual for $14.95 plus postage. Ebay buyer feedback looks very positive.

Thinks it's worth the gamble - or should I spend a few hours of download time?

Probably real, but they probably downloaded it themselves and burned it onto a cheap cd, may or may not be missing some of the files. If you have high speed internet, may be better to download it yourself.

 

I bought a CD from this seller but I have not popped it in my computer yet. It is a burned CD.

Once I take a look at it and if it's good, I'll sell you a copy for $10!

Where would you download the repair manual online?

You can pay $20 ("day pass") and download the files from Infiniti directly. I guess it would save you a little time and a little money to get it off ebay, but given how easy it is to get the manual online, I'm sure it's real.

Let me know what you find when you check it out. Does it look to be complete, and good quality (downloaded, and not scanned), and of course...in english.. Is your manual for the 2004.5 Coupe. PM me if you want...

Awhile back someone mentioned a type of download script to retrieve the chapters from the Infiniti Pubs site so that it would save time... been searching for that post. Any info?

...the best way to get what you want, is very often to do it yourself, and so I'm always skeptical of these "offers."

Not to sound like "the man", but it is a copyrighted manual and it's not legal to give away or sell copies. Ebay can and will suspend your account for that if Nissan complains. It really is no different than selling copies of a DVD or music CD you burned.
