Hey guys I'm looking to buy a G35 Coupe '03 model. I've been looking online and my budget would be no more than 13k. I currently drive a Honda Accord as a daily driver so I want a nicer car with good performance and looks. I don't rice out my honda (100% stock aside from a couple of JDM parts). I'm from the NJ/NY area and wanted to know some recommendations on purchasing the car. I prefer not to go to a dealer and get banged from behind.

I was looking into going to one of those police auctions. How much do you think I can get a car for there? Would that be a better bargain? I do understand that I will have to be patient and wait for a G35 to show up at one of those auctions. My GF has a family friend who gets the listings for cars that are going to be sold at these auctions. Does anyone know how these things work? I will be buying the car at whatever price he gets it for since he's a family friend.

BTW I've been lurking on this site for some time and decided to finally sign up. I've seen some really nice cars on here so props to all of you.
