**HELP** Infiniti Dealer loses my keys

So...my car has been at the dealer for the past 4 days for warranty fixes, leather is falling apart in my car and tearing on the driver seat AND regulator for the window AND passenger seat wont recline sometimes, they tell me it's going to take 2 days...the morning i brought it in, tuesday and i should be able to pick it up wednesday...i call wednesday and they tell me friday (today)....i get a call from them thinking my car is ready for pickup...nope...they tell me they lost my keys...SINCE YESTERDAY!

**** happens..okay.

my concern is...do i have to have them change all my locks? my ignition? i dont want to find down the line that someone there "lost" my key and decided to jack stuff in my car or my car itself.

I had my pops drop a spare off, valet key, and they said it'll be done by monday. UGH.

I called them back and they said i dont have to worry about changing my locks or anything because they can reprogram it so my old key and key fob won't work. Is that true?

Also...they gave me a Cube as a loaner. pretty okay car but it's not MY G. ....or another Infiniti at that. ai nako buhay.

-rant over.

ok they should wash ur car no matter what. even if u take ur car in for an oil change. so u better NOT pay for that loaner. get some free stuff. i can't believe they gave u a cube for a loaner. i guess fresno infiniti is doing alright cuz i went in for warranty work couple weeks ago they gave me a g37 sedan for a loaner.

if it's a one day job like an oil change they'll give you an Infiniti...but it was suppose to be for 2 days so they gave me a cube...idk.

i talked to a friend who has a G too...they gave her an M35 for a whole week...but i guess it's cuz she's a girl. haha...

your old keys will not start the car anymore but they will still work in the door, and turn the ignition... I would tell them you want all of the locks replaced

Since it was their mistake, I'd take the keys in and make them reprogram them while they're programming a new set. They should easily be happy to do that.

That's not a great idea, you'll be giving them another chance to screw something up....dealership car washes suck!

He mentioned they loaned him one of those fugly CUBES.

He'll be fine once the keys are reprogrammed. Due to the inconvenience he's suffered it would be nice if they'd offer him a half dozen oil changes....FREE!
